For over forty years, Ballet Midwest has been entertaining audiences with the magical Nutcracker Ballet set to the unforgettable score by Tchaikovsky. Join Clara at a Christmas Eve party where she receives a gift that will soon take her on a fantastic journey. Feel the joy of a Christmas Eve party, marvel at the special effects and excitement as the Nutcracker battles the Mouse King, watch as the snow falls gently in the forest and marvel as the dancers entertain you in the Kingdom of Enchantment. You don't want to miss this Topeka holiday tradition!

Sugar Plum Party
Join us for one of our favorite traditions, the Sugar Plum Party! Following our 1:30 matinee shows, be sure to make your way to the lobby where you will enjoy cookies and the chance to meet the lead dancers.

Tickets will be available through Barbara's Conservatory of Dance (Home of Ballet Midwest), cast members, Ticketmaster Outlets and TPAC Box Office.  Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $16 for adults 55 and older, $12 for children/youth (under 18), or $55 for a family pack of 4 tickets (2 adults, 2 students). Consider pre-ordering your tickets and save time at the door!  Print and mail a ticket order form to our host studio and we will send your tickets once they become available.

June 27, 2020, at 1:30 pm, Topeka Performing Arts Center - To best ensure the safety of our audience and dancers, this performance has been canceled for the 2019-20 season.
Young children will love this introduction to ballet! With familiar characters and audience interaction, this ballet is fun for the whole family! Tickets are $10 each and include all of the activities at the post-ballet party!

Don Quixote

Ballet Midwest is excited to dance our premiere performance of Don Quixote. This Spanish-themed ballet is fun for the whole family!  Join the man of La Mancha as he encounters a cast of colorful characters while searching for adventure. Since it’s origin, Don Quixote has delighted audiences all over the world. Don’t miss this feel-good ballet that ends in a glorious celebration of love, chivalry and eternal friendship.

 August 29 at 7:30pm at Evergy Pllaza. The performance is free to the public, donations are welcome. Please bring your own lawn chair.
