Artistry and Passion In Motion

Topeka's Ballet Midwest originated in 1977 with a purpose of sharing the art of classical ballet with Topeka and surrounding communities. More than 40 years later, the company's vision remains strong through community education programs and a variety of performances designed to reach different audiences. For the 2018-19 season, Ballet Midwest will present two full-length classical ballets in addition to many other local performances. On December 7-9, enjoy a Topeka tradition and northeast Kansas' longest running Nutcracker Ballet, featuring a cast of over 200 local dancers. Area schools are invited to a free benefit performance on Friday, December 7. Learn more and reserve your spot early! Laugh along with the whimsical tale of an eccentric toymaker, life-sized dancing dolls, and true love at a performance of Coppelia this spring, April 13-14. Ballet Midwest's 42nd season is sure to delight!
