Ballet Midwest provides unparalleled access to some of the world’s most treasured ballets through performances in Topeka and surrounding communities, interactive outreach opportunities, and a standard of dance education that encourages excellence.

Our goal is to preserve the beauty of this great art form for future generations while nurturing character development in our dancers and instilling a lifelong love of the arts among our audience.

Nutcracker Auditions

Ballet Midwest Nutcracker auditions are open to anyone ages 4 and older, currently enrolled in ballet classes. Auditions will be held Saturday, August 17 at Barbara’s Conservatory of Dance. Be sure to complete all paperwork online (2 forms) prior to arriving for auditions. Performances are December 13-15.

Wildly Creative at the Zoo

Celebrate Arts with the Animals at the Topeka Zoo from 9am-2pm on Saturday, August 31. Ballet Midwest dancers will perform throughout the morning and join our community partners in hosting fun stations throughout the zoo. Activities and performances are free with your Zoo admission ticket.
