Artistry and Passion In Motion

Topeka's Ballet Midwest originated in 1977 with the purpose of sharing the art of classical ballet with Topeka and surrounding communities. More than 40 years later, the company's vision remains strong through community education programs and a variety of performances designed to reach different audiences. For the 2019-20 season, Ballet Midwest will present two full-length classical ballets in addition to many other local performances. On December 13-15, enjoy a Topeka tradition and northeast Kansas' longest running Nutcracker Ballet, featuring a cast of 200 local dancers. You don't want to miss Ballet Midwest's premiere performance of Don Quixote on August 29-30.

In the News. Ballet Midwest offers our deepest condolences to the Klotzbach family in the recent passing of Theresa Klotzbach. Theresa played an instrumental role in the early years of Ballet Midwest, working behind the scenes on a wide variety of volunteer projects. We are so grateful for many wonderful memories, sharing the stage with the Klotzbach family. You are in our thoughts.
