Fairlawn Plaza 2014

First Friday Art Walk at Fairlawn Plaza

Ballet Midwest shared art in motion, dancing excerpts from their upcoming Nutcracker Ballet performance at a First Friday in December. Dancers make appearances at First Friday art walks every year. We love being part of Topeka's amazing art community!

Annual Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade

Ballet Midwest looks forward to this fun community tradition, sharing candy canes and spreading Nutcracker cheer.

Annual Nutcracker Benefit Performance

Ballet Midwest presents a benefit performance, free to 4th grade students and other groups in the Topeka and surrounding community.  Schools are provided educational information regarding ballet and the Nutcracker story prior to traveling to TPAC to enjoy the full performance. Ballet Midwest is unique in offering the full-length performance, free of charge. 

Annual Nutcracker School Tours

Some schools are unable to make the benefit performance for a variety of reasons, so Ballet Midwest brings part of the Nutcracker to them!

Bi-annual dancing at Barnes & Noble

Join us every December and April at Ballet Midwest afternoon at Barnes and Noble! 


Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade

Ballet Midwest is proud to participate in this Topeka tradition, passing out candy and greeting our community friends.

Gage Park Easter Parade

A new Topeka tradition, Ballet Midwest dancers look forward to the community fun at the Gage Park Easter Parade!


April 11, 2015 - Kansas Children's Discovery Center

Ballet Midwest taught the story and highlights of Cinderella ballet, complete with performances by some of the lead dancers.




March 28, 2015 - Stormont Vail Hospital Pediatric Unit

Dancers greeted and performed excerpts from Cinderella for children and families in the pediatric unit of Stormont Vail Hospital.

March 7, 2015 - Mixed Repertory Performance at Topeka Performing Arts Center

Following the second annual Ballet Midwest Gala, Ballet Midwest dancers presented a mixed repertory performance, free to the public.

Capitol Federal's Christmas Carnival to Benefit United Way

Ballet Midwest dancers performed excerpts from the Nutcracker Ballet to add to the festivities of this holiday event to benefit a wonderful cause!

As many people kicked off their holiday shopping, Ballet Midwest dancers entertained with excerpts from the Nutcracker Ballet.
